DONE...FINI...ADIOS MUCHACHOS!!!!
Thursday May 08, 2008 11:29PM
finished my junior year of college this afternoon...all i can say was that was one of the worst college years i've experienced so far...was just overall a shitty experience

BUT

its in the books and DONE...all i got is one measly year left...wow, it just hit me, in one year i gotta start thinkin about what i wanna do with my life...CRAP

but for now...i got a summer to screw around with and see what kind of trouble i can get into

tomorrow headin down to arkansas...probably can get in a bunch of trouble down there

wonder if beav will cause trouble with me this summer?????

finally...no racing

first weekend in quite a while where i haven't been out of town racing...nice to get to relax from all that crap

friday night went up to webster city to visit with the beav...hadn't seen that crazy guy in a while. we went to a hole in the wall mexican restaurant (no seriously, there were holes in the walls) and drank margeritas as big as my head. then went to hyvee for some supplies. had a little "hop-skip-and-go-naked"...if beav ever offers you that...turn him DOWN

then had to work yesterday and again today...but they let me go home early today so i decided to go out for a ride...didn't bother to look at the weather before heading out so i went to nevada to meet a buddy and found out i had all tail winds there so that made for a bruttle ride home...oh well

friday looks like will, andrew, finn and me are pilin in vehicles for 8 hours to go down to fayetteville, arkansas for the weekend...joe martin stage race

but for now gotta start studying for finals...5 days and 1 year until i finally get a degree...then what will i do???????

wonder if beav will ever make me hop-skip-and-go-naked again

Doughboy
Thursday May 01, 2008 8:47PM
you shall from this day and until eternity refer to one Sean Noonan as:

DOUGHBOY

any attempts to refer to him as "sean", "noonan", "noo-noo" or the like will be disregarded and possible grounds for an ass-whopping (physically or on the bike)

you have been warned

wonder if doughboy will make me pancakes?

yesterday - - - iowa city road race - - - WINDY

will, andrew, finn and me started the road race (a little over 50 miles)...me and will just wanted to have better results in a 50mile road race with lots of wind than we did in finchford...i spose we completed that cuz Will freakin WON!!!!!!!!!!! me and him made it into the winning break on the start of the 3rd lap...i told will to jump WAY too early...but he stuck it somehow...then i started sprinting thinking about taking 2nd place but started too early for the sprint and was passed by a couple guys...still took 4th overall and 2nd place iowa cup points

so after the day will and me pulled away in the iowa cup standings...he was 1st with 25 points and i was 2nd with 18

today - - - old capitol crit - - - NOT windy

again, will andrew finn and me started this race (25 laps...so a little over 18 miles). the course has a cool steep uphill that isnt so bad that it shells guys on it but at the top if you keep the pressure on you can string things out real nicely. off the bat matt pavlovich from nebraska gets off the front...pack catches him in a couple laps...then andrew throws out and immediate counter attack which was perfect...brought 1 or 2 guys with him...i sat in 3-5th wheel constantly...pack caught him at about lap #5 just before the uphill, halfway up the hill i jump to the right side of the road and put in an attack...

at the top had a small gap so kept the pressure on and tim campbell started bridging up to me...we hooked up and within 2 or 3 laps we were out of sight!!!!!

not sure exactly but i was told we were pretty close to lapping the field...maybe about 30 seconds behind the chase group?

we kept hammering it and in the end tim won it....he was definitely the strongest guy out there all weekend. yesterday he attacked into the headwind on the end of the 2nd lap and that started stringing things out which formed the winning break and then today he was just on fire. hes a good friend of mine from scouts so it was great to get to work with a guy knowing that he will equally do his share of the work and not screw you over.

sadly with 1.5 laps to go today andrew got caught up in a wreck and will was stuck behind him so andrew crashed out and will got gapped off. word was andrew and will were feeling GREAT...oh well

so since tim is out of state i got 1st place iowa cup points...enough to move me into first overall with 28 points, will close behind with 25 and the rest of the guys? we have at least 10 points over all of them.

my dad (as hansen likes to refer to him: papa titties) was there today takin pictures of a bunch of the races...check them out

B2U on the podium :)

whats better than taking one win in a race?
Monday April 21, 2008 9:05AM
taking two wins in a race of course!

B2U cat 3 squad (will, andrew, and me) went to the eagle point crit yesterday...we attacked from the first corner of the race, and continued attacks for the next 5 or 6 laps until my attack finally stuck with adam price (mercy-specialized) and ryan jacobsen (atlas). we traded pulls for the remainder of the race while will, andrew, and ryan's teammate dominic shut the chase group down.

ryan forced adam to lead the last lap while i just sat on ryan's wheel until the final corner...came around and me and ryan were neck-and-neck until about the last 75 meters when i finally pulled a little ahead of him...i was probably the most suprised out of anyone, i didnt think i could sprint over 20 mph but somehow i managed

so you might be wondering what i meant by taking TWO wins in a race...well i got one win...and then coming up behind in the pack was none other than andrew "fag-boy" fagersten ripping down the finishing straight to take the pack sprint to get 4th overall...SWEET!!!!!!!

will gave a monster last lap lead out for andrew and he opened up the sprint stupid-early but somehow managed to hold it to the end

then after that the cat 1/2 guys took off...b2u had 2/3 of the field there so sean got bored half lap into it and took off and ended up lapping the entire field by himself on the final lap to then go to the front and lead tracy and lee out so they could take 2nd and 3rd overall...it was pretty amusing

well today im taking off the bike...heading up to minneapolis this afternoon to see one of my all-time favorite bands, The Mars Volta...i've seen them twice before as opening acts for A Perfect Circle and The Red Hot Chili Peppers but this time around they're headlining...i cant wait...definitely will be better than seeing Bon Jovi...only lonely losers go see bon jovi

wonder if beav has ever seen bon jovi in concert?
